Roots & Remains; This is a personal project relating to art, archaeology and the environment that will evolve and find itself over time.
The idea for the site came out of wanting to do something with all my art practice research – a lot of my inspiration is connected to archaeology and my own interest in the environment. It will also provide a place for me to wonder out loud about opinions and thoughts I may have relating to the themes of archaeology and nature. A wider explanation can be found over at my introductory blog post.
Who am I? My artwork can be found over at gilliangibson.co.uk. I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone in 2010 with a BA(Hons) Fine Art, and previously graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Management. I’m currently volunteering with Broughty Ferry Environmental Project/Dighty Connect doing/learning practical environmental conservation, mosaic’ing and other activities.
